For decades, Schiller has been producing equipment made from high-quality stainless steels and special alloys. As a custom manufacturer, each order is unique.
Our clients are typically global or regional leaders in the process industries (fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas), as well as their technology suppliers.
Our products are process apparatus, which used worldwide,, are meeting the highest standards in material quality, workmanship, and documentation, while standing out for durability and reliability.
Our core expertise is based on decades of experience
- in the design and engineering of process equipment,
- in the fabrication of high-alloy stainless steels, nickel-based alloys, and special materials such as titanium, tantalum, and zirconium,
- in-depth knowledge of international set of rules for processing these materials,

90 Years of Schiller Apparatebau
Foundation
On September 2nd, Heinrich Schiller established a workshop for equipment manufacturing at Gewerbehofstr. 10 in Essen.
Passing of Heinrich Schiller
Following the death of her husband, Paula Schiller continued the business.
Alfried Schiller KG
Alfried Schiller became the owner of the company, which from then on operated under the name Alfried Schiller KG.
Relocation
The company moved to the premises at Laubenhof 15a, Essen.
Passing of Alfried Schiller
He was the one who shaped Schiller Apparatebau into the company it is today. The first vessels were primarily built for non-pressurized applications in Essen’s heavy industry. Already in the early 1980s, the first titanium components were manufactured for Krupp-Maschinentechnik.
Schauenburg Gruppe new Shareholder
The company was renamed Schiller Apparatebau GmbH, with the Schauenburg Group, Mülheim an der Ruhr, becoming the majority shareholder.

Neuer Geschäftsführer
Rüdiger Mackenthun übernimmt die Gesellschaftsanteile und tritt in die Geschäftsführung ein.
